Terms of use
Last updated October 18, 2026
These terms govern your use of Siderail, a service operated by Codistry Inc., a Delaware corporation at 99 Wall Street, Suite 2048, New York, NY 10005 ("Codistry", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using Siderail, you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy. If you use Siderail for an organization, you agree on its behalf and confirm that you have authority to do so.
1. Your account
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract.
- Give accurate information, keep it current, and keep your password and connected sign-in accounts secure.
- You are responsible for everything done through your account and through any access you grant to others.
- Tell us at legal@siderail.co if you believe your account has been compromised.
2. The service
Siderail provisions and manages servers for you and gives you tools to work with them: file access, a shell, editing, transfers, running services and related operations. Managed servers come with a full operating system, a public IP address and administrative access. We may change, add or remove features over time.
3. Your servers and content
- You keep all rights to the code, files, data and other content you put on your servers or into Siderail ("your content").
- You grant us the limited permission needed to host, store, transmit and process your content to provide the service and the operations you request.
- You have administrative control of your servers. You are responsible for the software you install and run, its configuration, security, licences and backups, and for the data it processes.
- Changes you or your tools make outside Siderail are yours. If you disable or modify the components Siderail uses to manage a server, some features may stop working.
4. Acceptable use
You may not use Siderail, or servers provisioned through it, to:
- break any law or infringe anyone's rights, including intellectual property and privacy rights;
- send spam or unsolicited bulk messages, or run phishing or fraud;
- distribute malware, or gain or attempt unauthorized access to any system, account or network;
- attack, disrupt or overload any network or service, including through denial-of-service attacks or scanning systems you do not own or have permission to test;
- mine cryptocurrency, unless your plan expressly allows it;
- host child sexual abuse material, content that promotes violence or terrorism, or other illegal content;
- interfere with Siderail itself, bypass its limits or security, or access other customers' resources.
We may investigate suspected violations and act on them, including by suspending servers or accounts.
5. Third-party services and AI tools
You can connect your own accounts and tools, such as AI assistants, code hosts, DNS and email providers. Your use of them is governed by their own terms. You are responsible for the credentials you provide and for what those tools do on your servers. We are not responsible for third-party services.
6. Fees
Paid plans and usage charges are described when you choose them. You agree to pay the applicable fees and taxes. Unless the plan says otherwise, fees are non-refundable. We will give notice before changing prices for a plan you already use.
7. Suspension and termination
- You can close your account at any time.
- We may suspend or terminate your account or servers if you breach these terms, fail to pay, create a security or legal risk, or if we must do so by law. Where practical, we will give notice and a chance to fix the problem first.
- After termination, we may delete your servers and content. Back up anything you want to keep.
8. Disclaimers
Siderail is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free or that data will never be lost.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Codistry is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to Siderail is limited to the greater of the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and US$100.
10. Indemnification
You will defend and indemnify Codistry against third-party claims, and the resulting losses and costs, arising from your content, your servers or your breach of these terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be heard exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and both parties consent to their jurisdiction.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change is material, we will tell you by email or in Siderail before it takes effect. Continuing to use Siderail after that means you accept the updated terms.
